Gabrielle Union and husband Dwyane Wade issued a joint statement on Saturday night saying they are contacting the FBI to investigate how nude photos of the actress were leaked online.
Union, who married the Miami Heat All-Star last month, saw several private naked pictures of her get leaked.
Though many celebrities who were victims of the hacking have denied the authenticity of the photos or refused to comment, Union and Wade sent an aggressive statement.
“It has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures,” Union said in a statement, via TMZ.
“I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide.”
I’m really not sure what race has to do with this considering the hackers were indiscriminate about whom they violated, not to mention that it was mostly white women who were hacked, but it’s pretty darn awful that their private photos were leaked. We feel terribly for Union, Wade and everyone else whose privacy was violated.
In addition to Union, TMZ says photos of Emily Ratajkowski, Jenny McCarthy, and Kate Bosworth were leaked. We also told you Hope Solo, Hayden Panettiere, Vanessa Hudgens, Leelee Sobieski, Avril Lavigne, Lake Bell and Kim Kardashian were also reportedly victims.
