Goran Dragic had been pursued by several teams after he reached a buyout agreement with the San Antonio Spurs, and the veteran point guard has decided on a new home.
Dragic has agreed to a deal with the Brooklyn Nets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
It’s no surprise Dragic chose the Nets, as he has a close relationship with Steve Nash. The two played together with the Phoenix Suns, with Nash mentoring Dragic during Dragic’s first several seasons in the NBA. They were teammates from 2008 until Dragic was traded to the Houston Rockets in 2011.

Dragic should fill a major need for the Nets. Patty Mills and Jevon Carter were the team’s only true point guards available for games when Kyrie Irving is ineligible due to his vaccination status. Dragic, who drew interest from other top teams, should provide Brooklyn with a nice boost.
