Goran Dragic thinks he has another three, four seasons left in him

Goran Dragic is proving this season that he can still ball, and he thinks that he will continue to do so well into his mid-30s.

In an interview Tuesday with Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, the Miami Heat guard said that he has several more seasons left in him.

“I think I can still play three or four years easy,” said Dragic. “Of course, it all depends how my health is going to be. So far, so good. I’m doing everything right, what they’re telling me to do to prepare my body and to be fresh. If I’m going to continue to play like this and feel like this, it’s going to be good.”

Dragic, who turns 34 later this year, is looking like a Sixth Man of the Year candidate with averages of 15.9 points and 5.0 assists a game on 41.2 percent from deep for the 26-10 Heat. He seems fully recovered from his right knee surgery in Dec. 2018 and is positioning himself for a decent contract as an unrestricted free agent this summer.

The 12-year NBA veteran has come a long way since he was nearly traded this past offseason in a cap-clearing move, and the Heat will hope that Dragic can keep up the good work.
