Kelly Olynyk, Derrick Jones reportedly traded to Mavericks in Jimmy Butler deal

Kelly Olynyk and Derrick Jones Jr. are headed to the Dallas Mavericks as part of a sign-and-trade the Miami Heat made with the Philadelphia 76ers for Jimmy Butler, according to reports.

Butler signed a 4-year, $142 million deal with Philly and was traded to Miami for Josh Richardson. Olynyk is making $12.67 million this season and has a $13.6 million player option the following season. Jones is owed $1.6 million for the upcoming season.

Richardson is entering the second year of a 4-year, $41.9 million deal and will be making $10.1 million for Philly this season. The Heat will need to shed more salary to make the Butler trade work, as the combined salaries they are shedding with Richardson, Olynyk and Jones only totals about $24.4 million.

An earlier report said Goran Dragic was headed to Dallas as part of the deal, but that proved to be incorrect.
