Gordon Hayward’s dog tore his ACL
The Boston Celtics’ injury bug has truly gotten out of hand.
Gordon Hayward’s wife Robyn wrote in a post to her Instagram Story on Friday that Bubbies, the family dog, was in surgery after tearing his ACL.
Chris Forsberg of ESPN relayed the news, and Twitter user Asher Feltman shared an image of Robyn Hayward’s post on the matter.

So not even the Celtics’ pets are safe during the 2017-18 season.

Of course, this comes less than six months after the former All-Star Hayward suffered a significant leg injury of his own, fracturing his left tibia and ankle during the opening game of the 2017-18 season. While Hayward continues to progress in his recovery, a return this year is now all but out of the question.
Elsewhere, the Celtics have also now endured season-ending injuries to Kyrie Irving and Daniel Theis along with a continued absence from Marcus Smart. You know it’s bad when even the team’s pets are falling victim as well.
