Hailey Van Lith was drafted by the Chicago Sky with the 11th overall pick in the WNBA Draft on Monday night, and one interview has many fans wondering if she is pleased about that.
The Sky had the 10th and 11th picks in the draft, and they used the latter on Van Lith. After the selection was made, Van Lith was interviewed by ESPN’s Holly Rowe. Van Lith seemed a bit uncomfortable.
Some people felt Van Lith was forcing a smile, especially when she was asked about reuniting with former LSU teammate Angel Reese.

Van Lith may not have been uncomfortable at all, but she certainly looked it. That led to fans all making the same joke about her teaming up with Reese again.
Gritting her teeth cause she gotta go back to playing with angel 😭😭

Van Lith began her collegiate career at Louisville. She transferred to LSU after three seasons with the Cardinals to help the Tigers defend their national title, but they lost to Caitlin Clark and Iowa in the championship game.
Van Lith did not have a great 2023-24 season at LSU. She averaged just 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists on a career-worst 37.8% shooting clip. She then transferred to TCU, where she averaged a much more impressive 17.9 points per game and made history by leading the team to the Elite Eight.
For what it’s worth, Reese seems pumped to be teaming up with Van Lith again.
