The New York Knicks know a thing or two about disappointment, and now they may be trying to resurrect one of the bigger ones in league history.
Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reported Sunday that former No. 2 overall pick Hasheem Thabeet has an upcoming workout with the Knicks next week.
The 32-year-old Thabeet, who last played in the NBA back in 2013-14, is said to be in impressive shape and recently worked out for another Eastern team.
Second-year center Mitchell Robinson is currently the only true seven-footer on the Knicks roster, so they have little to lose by seeing what the journeyman Thabeet might be able to offer them.
