Kupchak, the longtime Los Angeles Lakers general manager, was reportedly offered the job roughly a week ago, and it seems things have progressed fairly quickly since then. He’ll be tasked with turning around a Charlotte organization that has just three playoff appearances and no series wins since they were resurrected in 2004.
