Ian Clark: ‘No hard feelings’ over likely departure from Warriors

Ian Clark’s time with the Golden State Warriors is almost certainly up, and he seems to be at peace with that.

The guard was a valuable contributor to Golden State, but financial realities likely mean that he’ll have to find a new team, and he knows it.

“It’s part of the business,” Clark said, via Logan Murdock of the Commercial Appeal. “No hard feelings either. Now just go out there and find the best deal possible.”

Clark is looking for the right fit as he seeks a new team.

“Just being able to have the same opportunities the last few years, to be able to play,” Clark said. “Being able to be on a team where you can help contribute is every guy’s dream.”

The signing of Nick Young — however he fits in with the Warriors — pretty much ended Clark’s Golden State tenure. He’s proven himself to be a solid role player and will look for that, at minimum, as he assesses his options.
