Ingrid Williams honored at Thunder game with flowers in empty seat
Last week, Thunder assistant coach Monty Williams lost his wife Ingrid as a result of injuries she suffered in an automobile accident. On Friday, she was honored at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
The Thunder were home on Friday to play the Pacers and during the game a tribute could be found to Ingrid Williams in the stands. As seen above, flowers were placed in an empty seat in remembrance of Williams. Also, members of the Thunder staff wore special pins for the Williams family.

Earlier this week, Monty Williams delivered an incredible eulogy at his wife’s funeral, which touched many, not just those in the basketball world. During this incredibly tough time for Monty and his family, it’s nice to see the support he’s received not only from the Thunder, but the entire NBA.
