Report: Jason Kidd’s contract with Lakers makes him NBA’s highest-paid assistant
Jason Kidd is getting paid a pretty penny to join the Los Angeles Lakers.
Shams Charania of The Athletic reported on Tuesday that Kidd’s contract with the team makes him the highest-paid assistant coach in the NBA.
The 46-year-old Kidd, who has five seasons of head coaching experience with the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks under his belt, will be serving on the staff of new Lakers coach Frank Vogel. Kidd has not coached in the league in any official capacity however since his Jan. 2018 firing by the Bucks.
There are several reasons why Vogel should be wary of Kidd’s presence on his staff, and the hefty salary that Kidd will be commanding is yet another one.
