Jimmy Butler delivered a harsh message to Dillon Brooks while the two were battling in Game 4 of the Western Conference first-round playoff series between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets at Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif., on Monday night.
Butler was being defended by Brooks, and the two were lined up next to each other as Tari Eason was at the free throw line in the second quarter. TNT’s cameras were zoomed in on Butler and caught him name-calling Brooks.
“You a bum and a b-tch,” Butler said to Brooks.
The official who was nearby had to check to make sure the message wasn’t for him. Butler confirmed that Brooks was the intended recipient, and the Rockets forward gave a hearty laugh.

While Brooks seemed to be pleased that he had successfully gotten under Butler’s skin, Jimmy didn’t seem nearly as amused. Two minutes later, Butler gave Brooks a hard foul when the Rockets forward had a breakaway.

Butler was called for a foul on the play, and Brooks went to the free throw line but missed both of his attempts.
The series between the teams has been tight, and the presence of Brooks amplified the intensity.
