Jimmy Butler never wastes an opportunity to bust someone’s chops. His victims occasionally include members of the media.
Butler was the star of the show for the Golden State Warriors on Thursday as they trounced the New York Knicks in a 126-113 contest at Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif. The All-Star swingman tallied a game-high 32 points to go along with 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.
Two of those points came on a high-flying play in the first quarter that saw Butler soar high in the air for a two-handed alley-oop jam.

One reporter tried to get Butler to talk about the unexpected slam during a postgame media scrum. The way he phrased his question did not sit well with Jimmy.
Reporter: “Usually as players age, they get less athletic. You had a play today where you almost jumped out of the gym.”
Butler: “I’m not old, first of all.”
Reporter: “You’re not old, but you’re older than you were when you came into the league.”
Butler: “Yeah, no s–t. You’re older than you were yesterday.”

The reporter was actually trying to compliment Butler for maintaining elite athleticism despite being on the wrong side of 30. But all Butler heard was the man commenting about his age, which hilariously led the Warriors star to mess with the poor reporter.
At 36 years old, Butler probably won’t be dropping 30 points a night or logging multiple highlight dunks. But he can still turn back the clock when the moment calls for it.
