Embiid underwent surgery on the eye injury a week ago, which could have him back in action within a week. While he’s still not cleared to play, the statement indicates that his doctors are pleased with his progress and there don’t appear to have been any setbacks.
The Sixers will be in the playoffs, and they’ll want Embiid back as early as possible for the chance to find further success.
