Joel Embiid acknowledges he should have been ejected for elbow
Joel Embiid has changed his stance on his elbow to Jarrett Allen in Game 2 of the first round playoff series between the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets.
Embiid caught Allen with an elbow to the jaw while spinning on a drive to the basket before halftime of Monday’s game.

He was lucky to avoid an ejection and said so before Thursday’s Game 3.

The elbow has been a point of contention since Monday’s game. Embiid started to apologize for it in his postgame press conference, but then he started laughing and couldn’t keep a straight face. The Nets felt disrespected by his reaction.
Embiid was supposed to be a game-time decision for Game 3 but was not able to play due to soreness in his knee.
