Joel Embiid out for Sixers’ road trip for load management
The Philadelphia 76ers are taking load management to new levels with Joel Embiid.
The team announced Saturday that Embiid will sit out the team’s upcoming three-game road trip in order to rest his left knee for the upcoming playoff run.
Joel Embiid who will not play tonight (load management) will not meet the team on this trip.
Brett Brown says they will see Joel back in Philadelphia for the Milwaukee game.
Brett says they are just being proactive and smart about his load management.

Embiid has missed time this year with lingering knee soreness. It doesn’t seem that this situation is rising to that level, but the team seems intent on quite aggressively protecting their star center. It makes sense, as the team is eyeing a deep playoff run this year, and will need Embiid healthy if they intend to fulfill their ambitions.
