Joel Embiid wants Sixers PA guy to introduce him as ‘The Process’
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is the most resplendent human being to ever step foot on a basketball court, and here’s our latest proof of that much.
According to John Smallwood of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Embiid recently asked Sixers PA announcer Matt Cord to include a new middle name in his official introduction: “The Process.”
The Cameroonian has also already added the fresh nickname of choice to his official Instagram page.

The 22-year-old Embiid, who is seeing NBA game action for the first time (albeit in the preseason) after nagging foot injuries cost him the first two seasons of his professional career, has always been open about his love for Philly’s “Trust the Process” campaign, which he became the poster child for. Now that Embiid is finally ready to commence his rampage on the Association, he’s making sure not to forget his humble, Hinkie-ian roots.
Jerry “The Logo” West. George “The Iceman” Gervin. Dominique “The Human Highlight Film” Wilkins. Karl “The Mailman” Malone. Kevin “The Big Ticket” Garnett. Joel “The Process” Embiid. I like the sound of that.
