Lakers’ Josh Hart questions costly foul call on Twitter

Josh Hart

The Los Angeles Lakers are fighting for a playoff spot, yet they somehow lost to one of the worst teams in the NBA on Saturday night. Josh Hart seems to think the officials had something to do with that.

Hart was called for a questionable foul with the Lakers trailing by three late in the fourth quarter, and it resulted in DeAndre Ayton extending the Suns’ lead at a crucial time. Hart thinks there was no foul or the call should have gone the other way, so he took to Twitter to ask the officials for an explanation.

Hart may have a point about that particular play, but it’s a bad look to be making excuses after losing to the worst team in the Western Conference. The Lakers are currently 4.5 games back of a playoff spot, and they simply can’t afford to drop games against inferior opponents if they want to reach the postseason.

If LeBron James keeps making pathetic turnovers like the one he had in the loss to Phoenix, no amount of help from the officials is going to save the Lakers.
