Karl-Anthony Towns’ big year got even bigger on Saturday.
Towns and longtime girlfriend Jordyn Woods were married in Malibu, Calif. on Saturday, according to the New York Post. The Post obtained photos from the ceremony showing the two exchanging vows in a private ceremony.
Several of Towns’ New York Knicks teammates were in attendance at the wedding, along with a number of other high-profile celebrities. Guests received hoodies emblazoned with “Married in 5,” a reference to the “Knicks in 5” motto that fans embraced during the NBA Finals.
Towns, 30, and Woods, 28, have been in a relationship since 2020. The two became engaged last Christmas, but clearly put off the ceremony until the NBA offseason. They certainly could not have anticipated that they would tie the knot two months after Towns won his first NBA title, but that is precisely what happened.
Towns averaged 15.9 points and 10.6 rebounds per game during the Knicks’ 19-game run through the playoffs. There is still some uncertainty over his long-term future with the organization, though both Towns and Woods can attest to the fact that Knicks fans still love him.
