Kawhi Leonard is apparently unhappy with his situation in San Antonio, after all.
According to multiple reports, Leonard wants the Spurs to trade him this offseason. Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports was told by a source that Leonard has “grown uncomfortable” with the situation between him and the team and wants out.

Several NBA reporters broke the news simultaneously on Friday, which likely indicates that it came directly from Leonard’s camp.
Leonard is eligible for a $219 million “supermax” contract extension from the Spurs this offseason, but there has been talk that the team is hesitant to give him that much money until he convinces them he is totally on-board after a season filled with drama. While there was supposedly a lot of disconnect between Leonard and the Spurs over the star forward’s quad injury, a recent report indicated he is “completely fine” with the situation and wants an extension.
Things could change, but the Spurs may officially be ready to field trade offers for their best player.
