Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors were the beneficiaries of one of the most badly blown calls you will ever seen in an NBA game Thursday night, and Durant was not ready to hand out compliments after the game even though the call went his way.
Stephen Curry broke a 132-all tie in overtime against the Houston Rockets after Durant “saved” a ball from going out of bounds, but anyone with a pair of eyes could see Durant took multiple steps out of bounds and even had both feet on the court out of bounds when he touched the ball.

Fortunately for the officials, the blown call didn’t cost the Rockets a win because James Harden buried an improbable 3-pointer with one second left. When asked about the play after the game, Durant said he was not surprised the officiating crew got the call wrong given all the other things they missed throughout the night.
Kevin Durant knew he was way out of bounds on that late save, wasn’t surprised the call was missed: “The refs were missing a lot tonight.” pic.twitter.com/Ey0uJ7d42O

You know a call is particularly horrible when even the player who benefitted from it ridicules the officials. Durant’s remark was mild compared to the way Chris Paul and Rockets GM Daryl Morey mocked the refs, but the criticism was all warranted. NBA officials simply should not be missing a call that badly.
