A quick scan of Kevin Love’s Instagram account shows he’s certainly someone who’s into looking top notch when the situation calls for it. You’ll see he’s even graced the cover of GQ. A couple of days ago, Love teased us with a post indicating he’s “getting involved in the fashion game.” Now, we know what that means.
The Cavaliers forward is Banana Republic’s new style ambassador and can now be found modeling the retailer’s threads. In an interview with GQ, Love says he looks to the past for influences to his style.
“I’ve always gravitated towards classic style influenced by the Rat Pack and guys like Paul Newman”, Love told GQ. “There isn’t anyone as classic and timeless as Banana Republic so when they approached me, I leapt at the opportunity. They are right in line with how I get dressed every day.”
As for who his style icon is, Love says it’s a mix between two people.
