Kevin Love is very much looking to join the party out East.
The former NBA All-Star big man Love is interested in reuniting with LeBron James on the Philadelphia 76ers, Dave McMenamin of ESPN reported this week. McMenamin adds that Love’s agent, Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management, has been in touch with the Philadelphia front office ever since James’ decision to join their team.
However, there are some big roadblocks to Love joining the 76ers. For one, the team is currently at roster capacity after signing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (another former James teammate), and that includes already having two backup centers (Adem Bona and Ariel Hukporti) behind Joel Embiid.

Love, 37, remains unsigned as an unrestricted free agent. A five-time NBA All-Star and a two-time All-NBA selection, Love averaged 6.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in a limited role for the Utah Jazz last season.
Meanwhile, Love and James played together on the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2014-18, making the NBA Finals in every single season and also winning a championship in 2016. We had heard for awhile that Love could possibly be a package deal with James, and the two have also been spending some notable time together this summer. But the 76ers would first have to make a roster move in order for Love to even have a remote possibility of joining.
