Report: Kings to keep coach George Karl
In a rather abrupt turn of events, the Sacramento Kings reportedly intend to keep head coach George Karl after all.
ESPN’s Marc Stein reported Monday night that the Kings planned to fire Karl during the coming days. On Tuesday, however, Stein reported that the team had changed their plans significantly and Karl is staying.
ESPN sources say that the Sacramento Kings, in a dramatic about-face, have decided to keep George Karl in place as coach .

In a statement to ESPN, Kings GM Vlade Divac said: "George is our coach and we're collectively working through our issues."

This would be the second time this season that Karl appeared to be on the chopping block but survived. The first was early in the season when he had a conflict with DeMarcus Cousins, and the second was this past weekend. It speaks to the ongoing turmoil within the Kings organization that things like this are becoming par for the course.
