Klay Thompson did not have his best game in Wednesday night’s win over the Toronto Raptors, and he simply couldn’t wait to drown the sorrows of his poor shooting night in an ice cold beer.
After scoring just 15 points on 4-of-15 shooting (3-of-11 from 3-point range), Thompson drank a Coors Light while speaking to a reporter:
Thompson is 26, so he’s free to drink alcohol where it is allowed any time he pleases. Still, it’s rare to see an athlete take a swig of a beer and give a nice big “ahhh” in the middle of an interview.
Then again, have you heard the trade rumors involving Thompson that have been swirling over the past several days? His rough shooting night was just a minor portion of a long week. Sometimes beer is the answer.
