Report: Knicks like De’Aaron Fox
With Derrick Rose possibly gone this offseason, the New York Knicks could be turning their attention towards drafting a replacement point guard.
ESPN’s Ian Begley reports on Monday that the Knicks like Kentucky guard De’Aaron Fox. Begley also notes the team’s interest in French prospect Frank Ntilikina, who worked out in Manhattan last month.
The 19-year-old Fox averaged 16.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game for the Wildcats last season, helping lead them to a Sweet Sixteen appearance. A blazing fast playmaker who is best out in the open floor and driving to the basket, Fox may be a poor fit in the triangle offense. But we already saw one top guard prospect from this year’s class express confidence in the triangle, so the Knicks may be hoping for a similar mindset from Fox.
