Kyrie Irving seems to think that the pawns in the media (as he once called them) are at it again.

The Brooklyn Nets guard offered a sarcastic response to a report from The Athletic on Thursday claiming that he had issues with James Harden and was hoping to see Harden traded.

“Lol I guess this is ‘breaking news’ media nowadays,” the former All-Star Irving tweeted. “Keep my family name out y’all Simpleton articles. The Puppets are running wild Again.”

The star guard also included a GIF of a puppeteer pulling strings.

The report claimed that Irving and Harden mutually disliked each other and that Irving was eager for Harden to get shipped away. The two stars were only teammates for a little over one calendar year. Between injury issues, Irving’s vaccine drama, and otherwise, the Nets’ Big Three of Irving, Harden, and Kevin Durant played just 16 total games together.

Now Harden is officially a member of the Philadelphia 76ers with the Nets getting several quality players in exchange for him. One of those players, Ben Simmons, might be another personality for Irving to clash with though.
