La La Anthony: Carmelo will stay in New York, doesn’t have pregame sex

La La Anthony work it

La La Anthony said during an interview with Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” Sunday that her husband, Carmelo Anthony, will remain in New York with the Knicks. She also revealed that the two do not have pregame sex because she says ‘Melo plays worse when they do.

“I definitely think he will stay [in New York],” La La said in her interview. “I know that he wants to stay and I support him wherever he wants to go. Listen, I used to live in Denver with him. If I can live in Denver, I can live anywhere. I just want him to be happy.”

Melo’s future has been the subject of much speculation over the past few years. Even though he got his way by being traded from Denver to New York three seasons ago, things have not gone great in the Big Apple. The team fired Mike D’Antoni and replaced him with Mike Woodson, partly because of Melo’s issues with D’Antoni. Then after improving two seasons in a row, the Knicks have been pretty terrible to start this season. That has led some to believe that Carmelo would consider leaving the Knicks after the season when he can become a free agent by declining a player option. Some have thought that the Lakers or Chicago Bulls would be a consideration for him, but La La says that is unlikely.

La La also explained why they don’t have sex before games.

“Usually we don’t do that before a game because he tends to play worse. [He’s] too tired! Because I work it!” she said with a big smile and laugh.

And what does it look like when La La works it?

Yeah, I could see how that would tire him out.
