In a play that pretty much summarized the Indiana Pacers’ entire playoff series with the Atlanta Hawks, Lance Stephenson wedgied a dunk attempt during Game 5 on Monday night to turn a sure two points into nothing.
Stephenson appeared to be caught deciding between whether he should dunk the ball or go for a layup, and he ended up wedging the ball between the iron and backboard.
Stephenson had 16 points but was just 6-of-14 from the field in the Pacers’ 107-97 loss to Atlanta. Mike Scott and Kyle Korver each made five 3-pointers for the Hawks, who shot 55.6 percent from beyond the arc.
