LaVar Ball may have a big mouth, but that mouth sure can speak things into existence.
Back in January, LaVar correctly predicted that LeBron James would join the Los Angeles Lakers. His logic was pretty reasonable, too.
“LeBron’s coming to L.A. I know he’s coming to L.A.,” Ball told ESPN’s Jeff Goodman. “LeBron is not a fool. What’s the only way he can beat Jordan? You can’t get more championships. Only one way, to say every team I’ve gone to I’ve won a championship. Go to Lakers and win a championship, then you’re better than Jordan.”
LaVar also said last September that LeBron would join the Lakers, so he was right on two accounts.
The bigger question now becomes whether LeBron can actually win a title with the Lakers. Given how much tough competition there is in the Western Conference, that task will be incredibly difficult.
