Everyone said the same thing after LeBron James’ huge dunk

LeBron James dunks a ball

LeBron James threw down a huge dunk during his Los Angeles Lakers’ 100-97 loss to the Charlotte Hornets at Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday night, and it had everyone saying the same thing.

James finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists in the defeat. Midway through the fourth quarter, James took a pass just beyond the 3-point line. He drove to the basket and then took off from the middle of the paint for a huge dunk over Hornets center Mark Williams. Take a look at this powerful dunk over the Hornets’ 7-footer.

That was a great dunk and showed just how much power and athleticism James continues to possess. Fans were impressed by the dunk and couldn’t help but point out how ridiculous it was for someone who is 40 years old.

That dunk would be extremely impressive from anyone. It’s even more impressive for someone who’s at the age when players have usually retired or are way more limited and on their way out.

Of course, we can’t just post the highlight without reminding you that the Lakers lost the game. The Lakers could have moved up to the No. 4 spot in the West with a win. Instead, they remain in the fifth spot, behind the Houston Rockets.

The other interesting part of the dunk is that it came on Williams, who was supposed to be teammates with James. The Lakers had initially acquired Williams in a big trade with the Hornets, but the deal was rescinded a few days later. Maybe that was James’ way of saying he doesn’t need Williams (the game’s result says otherwise).
