Report: LeBron James will never play for Clippers
LeBron James seems to have a lot of realistic options in free agency this summer, but the Los Angeles Clippers are apparently not one of them.
Cavs beat writer Dave McMenamin appeared Tuesday on ESPN LA 710’s “Afternoons with Marcellus and Travis” and spoke on the impending sweepstakes for The King. As part of his remarks, McMenamin said that James would “never” play for the Clippers.
"LeBron James will never wear a LA Clippers uniform."

We had heard recently that the Clippers believed they had a shot at James, and the four-time MVP’s son was reported this week to be enrolling at Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles. However, the team’s situation isn’t great right now — they enter the summer with little cap room and a roster that is in a half-rebuild of sorts after January’s trade of Blake Griffin. Thus, it looks like the Clippers can be safely crossed off James’ list for now and perhaps forever.
