LeBron James on Cavs 55-Point Loss: Karma is a B****

January 12, 2011 by Steve DelVecchio • Comments

A lot of asterisks on LBS today, but that’s just the type of day it’s already shaping up to be.  If LeBron James was serious when he said he wants to embrace his role as a villain, he’s off to a good start.  It apparently offends King James that Cavaliers fans wanted him to stay in Cleveland so badly.  Sure, they reacted unreasonably at times when he announced his decision to leave, but you might too if the best thing that ever happened to your franchise — in the form of a local superstar — up and left without bringing home a championship.

For those of who you were unaware, the Lakers beat the Cavs by 55 points on Tuesday night.  That shouldn’t happen in the NBA.  Scores like 112-57 are normally reserved for the UConn women’s basketball team.  LeBron believes Cleveland deserved it:

Karma, huh?  In other words, the Cavs deserve to get slaughtered because their fans were so pissed off LeBron brought his talents to South Beach.  That makes sense.  It will be interesting to see if he really embraces the villain role or if he tries to backpedal when the media grills him about the tweet.  In fact, a tweet praising Mike Brown an hour later may be a sign that he has already started backtracking.
