LeBron James’ photographic memory apparently extends to slights on talk radio as well.
The Los Angeles Lakers star James took to his X page on Monday to fire a petty shot at Doug Gottlieb, the longtime sports radio host who is currently the head basketball coach at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. James quoted a post documenting Gottlieb’s brutal struggles at Green Bay, where he has gone 3-24 and recently went three full months without even so much as a single victory.
“Earned 2 Not Given! Gotta give him credit though!” James wrote along with a bunch of laughing emojis as well as a few poop emojis. Take a look.
For context, Gottlieb has taken a series of swipes on the air at both James and his son Bronny over the last year. Among other takes, Gottlieb called out James for supposedly being a “bad basketball parent” and also said that Bronny, who is currently in the NBA with the Lakers, would not even be an automatic starter on Gottlieb’s Green Bay team.
Obviously, James got wind of Gottlieb’s comments and is now taking an opportunity to clap back at him several months later.
Gottlieb and Green Bay did manage to break their lengthy winless streak over the weekend by defeating Wright State by a final score of 79-68. But the James, who has long been known for these kinds of petty antics on social media, is taking his chance to point and laugh at Gottlieb nevertheless.
