Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic on Friday erupted for 73 points. His teammate Grant Williams hilariously found a way to steal just a tiny bit of the Slovenian’s spotlight.

Doncic torched the the Atlanta Hawks in a 148-143 win at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga. to become the 10th player ever to score 70-or-more points in a game.

The Mavs star shot 25/33 from the field with 8 three-pointers and a stellar 15/16 shooting clip from the free throw line.

Williams congratulated Doncic on X by posting a photo of them together after the game with a rather humorous caption.

“82 points right here. Congrats brother that was special to witness it,” wrote Williams.

On the death anniversary of Kobe Bryant, Doncic appeared to have a shot at breaking the Mamba’s 81-point record before falling short. He was just 9 points shy, which just so happened to be Williams’ scoring total against the Hawks.

It didn’t take long for fans to mock Williams for his caption.

Williams wasn’t the only player to get clowned thanks to Doncic’s 73-point performance. The Mavs star’s rival Devin Booker, who scored 62 on Friday, also had his fair share of tormentors.
