Marcus Morris has good response to Ty Lue’s ‘gooning’ accusation
Marcus Morris had a good response to Ty Lue’s accusation that the Boston Celtics were “gooning” up the game.
The Cleveland Cavaliers head coach seemed salty after his team’s 107-94 loss to the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday. He accused the Celtics of “gooning up the game” even though one of his players committed a dirty play.
Morris’ response to Lue made perfect sense.
“Gooning? That’s a good word. S—, we’re doing what it takes,” he said.
That’s very true, and it’s a sentiment some of the Cavaliers echoed. They noted how Marcus Smart was hustling and seemed to be everywhere making plays for the team.
If Lue’s Cavs weren’t down 2-0 in the series, he probably wouldn’t make comments like that.
