Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart left Thursday night’s Summer League game against the Portland Trail Blazers after suffering a gruesome hand injury.
Smart fell awkwardly while fighting for a rebound and immediately began screaming in pain. The photo below is not for the squeamish, as it shows a couple of Smart’s fingers pointing in directions they should not be pointing.

Fortunately, the Celtics are reportedly confident Smart did not suffer any type of break or fracture and that he “should be okay.” The 21-year-old provided an update on Twitter early Friday morning.
Thanks to everyone for the prayers thanks to the staff for all that they did to help just a minor set back for major comeback

Unlike the disgusting finger injury we showed you earlier in the week, the situation with Smart was very real. Hopefully he is able to make a speedy recovery.
