Sacramento Kings forward Matt Barnes has been accused of assaulting two women and a man at a nightclub in New York City early Monday morning.
According to a report form TMZ, NYPD officials want to question Barnes after someone alleged in a 911 call that the 36-year-old choked a woman during an argument and punched two other people who tried to intervene. Barnes left the scene before police arrived.
A video that was shared by TMZ appears to show DeMarcus Cousins, one of Barnes’ teammates, laughing about how someone tried to choke Barnes and Barnes “hit the s— out of” the person.
The Knicks lost earlier in the night, and New York fans taunted Barnes with “Derek Fisher” chants during the game. You can see a video here. Barnes infamously got into a fight last year with Fisher, who was dating Barnes’ ex-wife.
