Report: Mavericks out on Andre Iguodala
Andre Iguodala’s list of potential suitors appears to be narrowing.
Marc Stein of the New York Times reported Friday that the Dallas Mavericks are not actively pursuing a trade for the veteran swingman and do not plan to. Stein adds that the Mavs are fans of Iguodala and had interest over the summer but remain measured with their trade targets.
Dallas had been gaining steam as a possible destination for the 35-year-old after their 18-9 start to the season and their apparent need for another big wing defender. The Memphis Grizzlies remain adamant though that they are seeking a trade for Iguodala, who has not played for them all year, and do not intend to buy him out.
Many executives believe Iguodala will land with another top Western team, and the path may be clearer now that the Mavs seem to be out on him.
