Metta World Peace again campaigns for Knicks head coaching job
Metta World Peace really wants to coach the New York Knicks.
After David Fizdale’s firing on Friday, World Peace immediately took to Twitter to suggest himself for the vacant head coaching position. He promised to bring a “street mentality” back to the organization.
If the @nyknicks is available, I definitely want to head coach there. I will absolutely bring that street mentality to the garden. Red brick , hard nose , let’s get it popping. QB . This would be epic for all people like me. Straight from the jungles to win a title in NYC. Blaat

No, this is almost certainly not going to happen, but it’s funny, and it certainly wouldn’t be boring. He even thinks he’s end up winning a title, so you certainly can’t knock the confidence.
It’s worth remembering that World Peace wanted the Knicks job after their last coaching change, too. The man is nothing if not committed to fighting for the job, even if he’s never going to get it. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a future in the industry, though — just not this job. Not yet, anyway.
