Michael Beasley, Pistons reportedly agree to contract

Michael Beasley may be back in the NBA next season after all.

Beasley and the Detroit Pistons have agreed to a one-year deal, as first reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

News of Beasley’s deal with Detroit comes two days after Charania reported that Beasley would be suspended the first five games of the season due to a drug violation.

The 30-year-old forward played 26 games for the Los Angeles Lakers last season before being traded to the Clippers, who waived him. Beasley averaged 7.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 10.7 minutes per game.
