Michael Porter Jr: Luka Doncic Instagram issue was ‘accident’

Michael Porter Jr. says we can all cool our jets about a supposed beef brewing between him and Luka Doncic.
Porter Jr., who was the No. 14 overall pick in the NBA Draft, caused a stir when he allegedly liked an Instagram comment during the week that called Doncic “overrated.”
The “like” supposedly came in response to an ESPN post indicating Doncic was the overwhelming favorite to win NBA Rookie of the Year. Porter Jr. did not receive any votes in the poll.
On Sunday, Porter joined Noah Coslov on SiriusXM NBA Radio and cleared things up. He said the Instagram like was an “accident” and that he reached out to Doncic to let him know that.
We had Michael Porter Jr. on with us @SiriusXMNBA on the Luka Doncic IG issue: "It was an accident and I reached out to Luka right away, we're cool. We saw each other earlier." — as far as being overrated: "If I had played in college, I would have averaged 30 and 15."

Porter entered college at Missouri as one of the highest ranked recruits in the country. Unfortunately a back injury in his first game ruined his season and led him to undergo surgery. The back injury not only derailed his college season but also led him to slip in the draft. We still believe he will give the Denver Nuggets excellent value when he is cleared to play.
