Mike Bibby not charged in sexual harassment case

Mike Bibby will not be charged in the sexual harassment case for which he was investigated.

Bibby was accused in February of sexually harassing a teacher at an Arizona school where he served as a basketball coach. The accusations stemmed from incidents that allegedly took place in Feb. 2017 and Oct. 2018, though the claim was not reported to the school until Feb. 13, 2019.

The Paradise Valley Unified School District began investigating the claim immediately, with the Phoenix Police Department later taking over the investigation. On Thursday, Phoenix police said their investigation concluded there was not probable cause to recommend charges.

In February, Bibby, 40, led Shadow Mountain High School’s boys basketball team to its fourth straight state title and fifth in his six seasons as head coach. He was barred from his position after the allegations surfaced.
