NBA fans said the same thing after Mavericks won draft lottery

Fans all said the same thing after the Dallas Mavericks won the NBA Draft lottery.

The Mavs on Monday won the draft lottery for the first time in franchise history, taking the top pick despite having a 1.8 percent chance of winning it. That gives them the No. 1 overall pick, which will almost certainly be Cooper Flagg.

The Mavs won the lottery three months after the team traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in what many felt was an inexplicable deal. The trade report was so shocking that most people thought the person who reported it had been hacked.

Fans reacted in concert to the news of the Mavs winning the lottery, thinking that it had been fixed and used to make it up to the Mavs for doing a favor by dealing Doncic to the most popular team in the league.

Less than 2% chance to win the lottery after trading your superstar. Fixed @NBA

You cannot tell me the NBA lottery isn’t fixed 💀💀😭😭

I knew it, the draft lottery is fixed. Just giving them Cooper Flagg because of the Luka fiasco

The outcome of this lottery will go down in history with some of the other great theories surrounding the NBA, along with the Knicks winning the lottery for Patrick Ewing, and why Michael Jordan stepped away to play baseball. It’s hard to see an outcome like this and not be suspicious about what transpired and why.
