Nick Young wants credit for a steal on his winning shot
Nick Young made the game-winning shot in the Lakers’ 111-109 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night, and he did so in unlikely fashion.
Yes, Young actually intercepted a pass intended for another teammate, hijacked the ball, and tossed up a 3-point shot that went in. Observe:
Young was just feeling it in the game. He scored 17 points on six of 12 shooting, including 4 for 7 on threes. And both he and Lakers coach Luke Walton thinks he should also get credit for a steal:
Nick Young on hitting the game-winner after taking the pass meant for Lou Williams: "They should have given me a steal."

Luke Walton on if the last pass was intended for Nick Young: "No. I think it's BS he doesn't get a steal on the stat sheet for that."
