Nikola Jokic continues to stretch the boundaries of what is possible on a hardwood floor.
The Denver Nuggets center has astounded and amazed fans all season long with his best statistical season yet. He had arguably his most improbable highlight Friday in a matchup against the Utah Jazz at Ball Arena in Denver, Colo.
The Nuggets led the Jazz 54-45 with just a few seconds left in the first half. Utah guard Collin Sexton’s layup with four seconds to go left Denver with little time to get a decent shot off. It was not a problem for Jokic.

The Joker caught the inbounds pass, sidestepped an oncoming defender, and heaved a one-handed shot from well past the halfcourt line. The Serbian somehow swished it through the cylinder.

The shot was officially listed as a 62-foot three-point shot, which is already crazy in and of itself. But the fact that Jokic had to skip to his right before launching the shot made it all the more impressive.
Here’s another angle of the play.

Jokic finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals in a 129-93 Nuggets win. His stat line would be considered a breakout game for most NBA players. But his final box score numbers were mostly below his season averages of 29.3 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 10.3 assists per game entering Friday.
