Now we know JR Smith’s favorite soup
The mystery of The Great Soup-Throwing Incident of 2018 is slowly beginning to unravel.
A day after it was revealed that the Cleveland Cavaliers suspended guard JR Smith one game for throwing a bowl of soup at assistant coach Damon Jones, Cavs beat writer Jason Lloyd of The Athletic disclosed a key development on Saturday: Smith’s soup of choice is [drum roll please] … chicken tortilla!

Granted, it is still unclear if chicken tortilla was actually the soup that Smith threw — the former Sixth Man of the Year told reporters that he could not remember those particular specifics, per Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com.

Nevertheless, chicken tortilla has the potential to be devastating if effectively weaponized as a projectile — the cheese can be scalding and those soggy tortilla strips are all too perfect for creating a real hot mess.
Jokes aside though, others in the NBA community found the incident just as amusing as the rest of us, so it may be a while before JR lives this one down.
