Nuggets player had amazing LinkedIn post about beating 76ers

One Denver Nuggets player hilariously commemorated his team’s huge upset with a stereotypical post on LinkedIn.

Nuggets forward Spencer Jones was in the starting lineup Monday for what was shaping up to be a blowout loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. But despite being down their entire startling lineup due to injuries, the Nuggets escaped Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pa., with a stunning 125-124 victory.

Jones took to LinkedIn and posted about the achievement as if he were your insufferable coworker from the marketing department.

“Some games you’ll remember for the rest of your life,” Jones wrote on the professional networking platform. “On paper, this one didn’t make sense. Shorthanded by seven players. No starters available. With lineup made up almost entirely of guys who began their careers in the G League. We were on the road against a top team in the Eastern Conference with multiple NBA stars.

“Everything about it was unlikely, including my defensive matchup against a near 300-pound center. But nights like this remind you what teams are really built on. Effort carries. Belief compounds. And when everyone commits to the same goal, logic stops mattering.

“One of the most improbable wins, I’ve been apart of. And we did it in OT. Love this team!”

Unlike some folks who are loud on LinkedIn but don’t actually do any work, Jones did put his hard hat on for the Nuggets’ unlikely victory over the 76ers. He did the dirty work for Denver, tallying 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals across a whopping 43 minutes in the overtime win. He also had to guard Joel Embiid for most of the game.

The Stanford alum truly deserved all those likes his post got on LinkedIn.
