The Los Angeles Lakers have been falling in the standings and are now falling in Las Vegas as well.

Online sportsbook SportsBetting.ag released recalculated odds Wednesday for the second half of the NBA season. The updated numbers had the Lakers listed at -110 to make the playoffs, which implies only a 50.9 percent chance. Before the season, SportsBetting.ag had them at -3300 to make the playoffs, an implied chance of 97.1 percent. The sportsbook also lowered the Lakers’ over-under on total victories from 52.5 before the season to just 38 now.

That is a big drop for the Lakers but not an entirely shocking one. They enter the second half at just 27-31, which is ninth in the Western Conference. If that seeding holds, the Lakers would need to win two separate play-in tournament games just to make it into the playoffs.

The Lakers also failed to make a move at the trade deadline and have yet to find an upgrade through the buyout market either. With some troublesome signs of dysfunction emerging on top of that, it appears that there is a lot of money betting against the Lakers to make the playoffs this year.
