Patrick Beverley chides media after win over rival Lakers
The Los Angeles Clippers have been a better team than the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers this season, and Patrick Beverley says we all should have seen that coming.
Following the Clippers’ 113-105 win over the Lakers on Monday night, Beverley was quick to remind the media how much they ignored his team before the season started. That was to be expected after LeBron joined the Lakers, but Beverley indicated it has served as motivation for LA’s “other team.”
Clippers’ Patrick Beverley chides big media crowd after win over Lakers: “There was 7 people here for media day. I told Shai, ‘Wait until the end of the year.‘ Just like I said we were the best team in LA. A lot of people don’t believe me, it’s fine.” pic.twitter.com/Er3FmqaeXX

As it stands after Monday, the Clippers are the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference while the Lakers are 5.5 games behind the No. 8 seed San Antonio Spurs. There’s a real chance the latter will miss the postseason, which is even more shocking than the fact that the Clippers are the better team 66 games into the regular season.
If you remember, Montrezl Harrell chastised fans following his team’s win over the Lakers earlier this season. When the boos rained down on the Lakers at the Staples Center again on Monday, Beverley and Harrell were clearly loving every second of it.
